After Training

"This One is sorry for that Cherry Blossom" he said softly as he put a finger under her chin so that she could look him in the eyes so that she could see he was sincere.

She looked at him and nodded slightly.
"I know..."
She tried to force her tears back but all that could be seen in her eyes was pain. No guilt, or sadness. She was past those feelings now. All she could feel was a crushing pain.

"This One knows how you feel. We both have lost someone close to us. You lost your sister and This One lost my mother" he said, a single tear making his way down his face as he thought about his mother Kimi. It was surprising that he was crying, considering he stopped crying ever since his beloved mother died.

She sniffed and raised a hand up and wiping away his tear with the back of her hand. She looked down again.
"The world seems much less brighter without her around...It shouldve been me..."
She shook her head.
"It shouldve been me..."

"No, it shouldn't have been you. Your sister shouldn't have gone either though" he said with a frown.

(Emma, guess what? When Ryuumaru told Orochimaru that Kimi was lying in bed, slowly dieing, Orochimaru ran off to the Leaf Village, most likely to see Kimi. O.O)

She just shook her head and hugged him again tightly.
"Ryuumaru-Kun..."
She murmured.
"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry...I'll never ignore you again,"

"This One is thankful for that my beautiful Cherry Blossom" he said as he kissed her softly.

Her eyes widened in surprise for a second before they closed as she kissed him back hesitantly.

He pulled away a few moments later, staring into her green eyes.

She looked back into his golden ones silently, trying to fathom what he was thinking or feeling.

His cold eyes were alight with happiness and warmth, which was unusual because ever since Kimi's death, Ryuumaru's eyes were alight with nothing but hatred and loathing towards his father Orochimaru. Some people in this village that knew he was Orochimaru's son speculated that his hatred would make him even more twisted then Orochimaru.

She smiled then, for the first time since Akira disappeared. Knowing full well the pain he was in, she leaned forward and put her forehead to his, keeping her eyes locked on his.

"This One has been so lonely since you started ignoring me Cherry Blossom. This Ryuumaru felt like he was alone in the world" he said.

"I only did that because i didnt want to get hurt...When you closed yourself off you became so cold...You reminded me of Sasuke...I didnt want to get hurt like that again,"

"This One would never hurt you Cherry Blossom. Surely you understand that now" he said.

She nodded slightly.
"I know, but i was still cautious,"

"Why were you cautious Cherry Blossom? Surely you knew This Ryuumaru would never hurt you" he said with a frown on his face.

"I know, i was being stupid and selfish. Those days are in the past now,"
She said with a reassuring smile.

"You were never stupid or selfish, you were just cautious. This One knows that since my mother's death, This One acted a lot like the Uchiha" he said.

She shut her eyes.
"You're different though...I can open up to you.."

"This One is glad" he said with a microscopic smile. This was his first time he smiled ever since his mother's death.

Her eyes lit up slightly as she saw him smile.
"I missed that.."

"Missed what?" he asked her.

"That smile. It was small but it was definitely there,"
She nodded.

"Oh. This One never really had a reason to smile for a long while" he said with a frown.
